Northern Commons is located in Lowertown, downtown Saint Paul. Here's everything you need to find us.
Finding the space
308 E. Prince St., #246, St. Paul, MN
Look for the door marked "308" — that's your starting point. From there, follow the "Northern Commons" signs to the elevator or take the stairs. We're on the second floor.
The building is old and has lots of hallways — but we promise you'll get there.
The elevator does not, by default, allow access to the second floor in the evenings. If you will need the elevator for a gathering in the evening, please let us know so that we can arrange elevator access for you.
Tip: The star on the map below marks the entrance door. Head for the entrance on the east side.
Parking
Parking is plentiful, but not all of the options are obvious at first glance. Here's what you need to know:
There's metered street parking throughout Lowertown. Meters are free on Sundays and enforced Monday through Saturday.
Prince St. & Kellogg Blvd. — The closest, least expensive meters.
$0.75 / hourBroadway & surrounding blocks — More expensive with a 2-hour time limit. Fine for a short visit, but watch the clock.
$2.50 / hour · 2 hr limitSeveral surface lots are within a short walk of Northern Commons. These are often the least expensive and easiest parking options. We recommend:
D1 Lot · D2 Lot · Union Depot Lot C
Lowertown is well-served by public transit, and bike racks are available nearby. If you're coming by bus, train, or bike, you're in good company.
Paying for parking
If you're parking on the street, the easiest way to pay is with the Passport Parking App. All meters in Lowertown use it (as do the D1 and D2 lots), and it lets you pay — and extend your time — from your phone.
Important: Make sure to use parking zone 651 before you enter the space number.
Available on the App Store and Google Play. Search for "Passport Parking" or scan the QR code on the parking signs.
A heads up
Lowertown has a lot going on, and when there are major downtown events, parking can be more difficult (and sometimes more expensive). We keep an eye on the calendar and try not to schedule gatherings when parking is especially tricky.
If you're ever unsure, reach out, and we'll help you find your way here.
